Table 1 show s the five w orking conditions selected to analyze the RC to column joint.The five w orking conditions can be divided into three groups:1) The axial load ratio of RC column is 0.7 and the horizontal displacement of the chord is released.Then tensile or compressive force is applied to the w eb member.2) The axial load ratio of RC column is 0.7 and the horizontal displacement of the chord is restricted.Then tensile or compressive force is applied to the w eb member.3) The axial load ratio of RC column is set as 0 and tensile force is applied to both the chord and the w eb member.All the five w orking conditions are unfavorable w orking conditions in the structural analysis.No.1-No.4 w orking conditions represent the cases in w hich the axial load of column is relatively large and the w eb member may be in tension or compression state.The lateral displacement of the chord is generally small if the slab and the chord w ork together w ell,w hich is defined as the w orking condition w here the horizontal displacement of the chord is restricted.Conversely,the horizontal displacement of the chord is released w hen the slab and the chord cannot w orking together very w ell.No.5 w orking condition denotes the case w here the axial load of RC column is relatively small.M oreover,the chord and w eb member are in tension state simultaneously,w hich is the most unfavorable w orking condition for the joint.
