Normally, most studies tended to take countries and economies in the world as a point in the tele-connected economic network, which is mainly due to the independent boundaries and the difficulty to integrate separate regions in a country into the global supply chains. Most provinces and municipalities in China however have varied economic development levels owing to huge geographical areas with large economic development gaps remain in China’s subregions. In addition to the complex transfer structures of domestic and foreign carbon emission relations, the exploration of spatial correlations among regional industriallevel sectors and changing trends prediction in structural patterns based on scenario analysis can also become future research directions.Besides,by identifying the increasing transfer relations, the dynamic targets for carbon emission reduction are further suggested to be assessed and discussed in consideration of the shared responsibilities from production-to consumption-based perspectives, providing a dynamic research foundation for sustainable regional development in China.
