We initially identified 124 studies via the aforementioned search strategy.After reading the titles and abstracts，we excluded 54 studies，which left us with 70.Among the 70 studies，only 33 mentioned Zheng（meaning syndrome or pattern）[1]，rather than giving specific outcomes of tongue diagnostics.Of the remaining 43 studies，37 did not meet the inclusion criteria.The final 6 studies included 975patients，and 50 healthy people in total（Table 1）.Figure1 shows the specific selection process.Table 2shows the characteristics of the 6 studies.
