Although compressing strain could generally promote theα-to-βtransformation,much difference between{100}-and{111}-orientated grains exists.Figure 6 presents the EBSD maps of various grains.The volume fraction of each grain can be obtained from the phase distribution maps.For statistics purposes,five EBSD maps at various locations of the sample are obtained.Theαphase fraction in the{100}-orientated grain is 10.42%and the fraction in the{111}-orientated grain is 7.44%,as listed in Table 2.In addition,it can also be discovered that theαgrain size in the{111}-orientated grain is less than that in{100}-orientated grain.It can be concluded that there is more opportunity for theα-to-βtransformation in{111}-orientated grains than in{100}-orientated grains.
