The same test was examined on the remaining samples(Table 7).It was found that the morphological identification was consistent with the identification of the discriminant models,indicating that the discriminant models of these six species have certain accuracy,and could be used for the identification of fossil species of Dicksoniaceae from the Middle Jurassic.However,the established discriminant equation only takes the main characteristics of sterile pinna as independent variables,and many other features were not included in the equation When the obtained G values were very close,other features,such as the main features of pinna and fertile foliage,should be comprehensively considered to identify the fossils,in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of identification.
