There was no significant difference between the two groups regarding the baseline characteristics(Table 1).Operative data of the patients were shown in Table 2.There was no significant difference between the two groups.The postoperative data of the patients were shown in Table 3.There was no significant difference between the 2 groups regarding total hospital stay(P=0.421),the total days of naso-gastric tube use(P=0.834),time of starting oral intake(P=0.964),postoperative morbidities(P=0.839),and its severity(P=0.715).POPF occurred in 11 patients(21.2%)in group I,and in 10 patients(19.2%)in group II,and this was statistically non-significant(P=0.807).There were no significant differences between the 2 groups regarding grades of POPF(P=0.891),and clinically-relevant pancreatic fistula(P=1.000).Also,there were no significant differences between the 2 groups regarding the incidence of biliary leakage(P=0.083),delayed gastric emptying(P=0.472),and early postoperative mortality(P=0.727).
