The cone calorimeter test has been widely used to evaluate the combustion performance of polymeric materials based on the oxygen consumption principle, and the results have good correlation with real fire disaster. The parameters, including time to ignition(TTI),heat release rate(HRR),peak heat release rate(PHRR),total heat release(THR),smoke produce rate(SPR),total smoke produce(TSP)and residual mass(RM)are measured, which are used to investigate the effect of PPAP on the combustion behavior of epoxy resin thermosets in real fires.Figures 6-8 and Table 3present the plots and the detailed information of combustion behavior of pure EP and EP/5 wt%PPAP thermosets obtained from the cone calorimeter test at a heat flux of50 k W·m-2.
