As shown in Tab.3,the DM elimination rate and rumen degradability of six types of roughage gradually increased with the extension of residence time in rumen.At each time point,the DM elimination rate of alfalfa hay was significantly higher than those of the rest five types of roughage,which increased fast within 24 h then increased slowly after 48 h.The rapid degradation part a of alfalfa hay and alfalfa block was significantly higher than other roughage(P<0.05),followed by corn silage,and that of rice straw was the lowest.The slow degradation part b and potential degradability(a+b)of leymus chinensis were significantly higher than those of the rest five types of roughage(P<0.05).The ED of the DM of alfalfa hay was significantly higher than the rest five types of roughage(P<0.05);no significant differences were observed between corn silage and alfalfa block,or between leymus chinensis,rice straw and corn stover(P>0.05).2.2.2 Degradation characteristics of CP.As shown in Tab.4,the CP rumen degradation characteristics of six types of roughage were similar to that of DM,and gradually increased with the extension of time.The CP elimination rates of alfalfa hay and alfalfa block were significantly higher than those of the rest types of roughage at the time points of 0,6 and 12h,respectively(P<0.05);The CP elimination rates of alfalfa hay at 24,48 and 72 h were significantly higher than those of the rest types of roughage(P<0.05);the CP elimination rates of rice straw were the lowest at each time point;the CP elimination rate of corn silage was significantly higher than that of corn stover at 72 h(P<0.05).The CP rapid degradation part a of alfalfa hay and alfalfa block were significantly higher than those of corn silage,leymus chinensis,corn stover and rice straw in sequence(P<0.05).The ED of the CP of alfalfa was significantly higher than those of alfalfa block,corn silage,leymus chinensis,corn stover and rice straw in sequence(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in ED between corn silage and alfalfa block(P>0.05).
