As shown in Tab.2,there were differences in crude protein content among different drying methods when the moisture content of alfalfa was the same.As the moisture content decreased under the same drying method,the crude protein content of the sample increased.Compared to the control group,under different moisture contents,the crude protein contents of samples through solar drying increased by 30.55%,52.48%,53.79%,97.65%and 109.40%,respectively;the crude protein contents of samples through outdoor drying in the sun increased by 6.27%,18.28%,36.55%,66.06%and 95.04%,respectively;the crude protein contents of samples through outdoor drying in the shade increased by8.09%,35.25%,46.21%,78.07%and99.74%,respectively.The crude protein content of samples through solar drying was the highest under the same moisture content;followed by outdoor drying in the shade,and the crude protein content by outdoor drying in the sun was the lowest.Compared to solar drying,the crude protein content of samples through outdoor drying in the sun decreased by 18.6%,22.43%,11.21%,15.98%and 6.86%,respectively;the crude protein content of samples through outdoor drying in the shade decreased by 17.20%,11.3%,4.92%,9.91%and 4.61%,respectively.The results showed that drying methods had significant impact on crude protein content(P<0.05).The crude protein content of alfalfa by outdoor drying in the sun was lower than that by outdoor drying in the shade,because there were more consumptions of nutrition during metabolic process of surface alfalfa under outdoor drying in the sun,while sunshine was relatively weak in air-dried alfalfa,with less impact on nutrition consumption.
