44.0%of nurses felt that current work was overloaded.In terms of the gender of the nurse,more men(53.1%)felt that workload was too heavy than women(43.7%).The proportion of nurses who felt overworked was slightly different with different education background and professional titles.The proportion of nurses in the western region(49.9%)who felt that they were overworked was higher than those in the central region(43.0%)and the eastern region(39.6%)(Figure1).The proportion of nurses in different departments who felt that the workload was too heavy was about 40%,which was not significantly different(Figure2).
