Due to the wide spread and danger of heavy metals and their toxins in food，a number of organizations around the world have made strict limits on them.EU organizations have set strict limits on heavy metals in food，spices，meat，and seafood，which have listed the MRLs for different heavy metals and harmful elements.Also the pollution of heavy metals and harmful elements in CHMs has received extensive attention.Table 6 showed the MRLs of heavy metals and harmful elements in many CHMs.
