Experimental results of the potentiodynamic polarization tests were given in Table 3.Ecorr indicates the corrosion resistance of the samples and Icorr represents kinetics and dynamic trends of the chemical reactions during the electrochemical corrosion.Ecorr value decreased with increasing solution treatment temperature,while Icorr value increased.It was deduced from the results that the corrosion tendency and the corrosion kinetics of the samples were enhanced by the formation of carbides and the chromium/tungsten depleted matrix structure.Accordingly,the corrosion rate of the samples was increased by the increasing solution treatment temperature.Moreover,the formation of Fe2W2C blocky carbides and chromium/tungsten depleted zones resulted in a five times higher corrosion rate in S6 than in S1.
