We found that at the 1st follow-up 57.1%(4/7)of the young athletes followed the HSS protocol every night, and the remaining42.9%(3/7)carried out HSS between 4 to 6 nights out of the sevennight period.Although the rate of nightly adherence dropped at the2nd follow-up,six participants continued to complete HSS between 4 to 6 nights out of the seven data collection nights, and one continued to complete the protocol nightly. The majority of participants reported not finishing the whole HSS cycle before falling or feeling ready to fall asleep. No participants carried out the HSS protocol when they woke during the night(Table 3).
