Herein,a two-dimentional graphite oxide(GO)modified chlorinated polyethylene rubber(CM)was utilized to prepare GO/CM composite. The vulcanization system which is suitable for this composite was investigated through thermogravimetic analysis(TGA).Generally, traditional vulcanization of chlorinated polyethylene rubber is carried out using peroxide vulcanization system, which is not suitable for GO from the results of TGA(Fig 1).However,a relatively stable vulcanizate could be obtained by using thiourea vulcanization system(NA-22+S).As illustrated in Fig 1,compared with thiourea system, other system would form small molecules at vulcanizing temperature(165℃),which affected the crosslinking behavior and produced bubbles, and finally affected the properties of glue stock. The test results of mechanical properties of composites with different vulcanization systems were shown in Table 1,and the composite vulcanized by thiourea system presented the best properties.Different coupling agents were added in the system to realize the efficient dispersion of GO in CM.The result indicated that KH-550 was the best coupling agent to improve the properties of glue stock. And Fig 2 exhibited the mechanism of the amino group in KH-550 reacting with the oxygen group of GO.This combination successfully introduced GO on the surface of CM,which made it possible to prepar the composites with good properties and extended the application field of CM.
