In addition to the above tests,the concentrate and tailing samples obtained from studies using AP-g-PAA(0.5 mg/g)were subjected to analysis with an electron probe micro analyzer.Results are provided in Fig.9,wherein a superior flocculated mass containing a high amount of iron was observed to be obtained from tests using the graft copolymer.Similarly,the tailing obtained shows unflocculated gangue particles;this was further proved using elemental analysis.Results are provided in Table 1,which show that the concentrate contains 94.23wt%Fe O,0.89wt%Si O2,and0.11wt%Al2O3,and tailing analysis shows the existence of45.44wt%Fe O,12.36wt%Si O2,and 7.29wt%Al2O3 using the graft copolymer.
