According to production scheduling statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture，the planting area of citrus increased steadily，and the yield declined slightly.The planting area would reach 2.556 7million ha and the yield would reach 36.168 million t，respectively.Compared with 2015，the planting area would increase by1.97%and the yield would decline by 1.17%（Table 1）.Specifically，the citrus planting area in the western region would have a rapid growth and rank the first in China；the citrus planting area and yield in the central region would remain basically stable；the citrus planting area in the eastern region would continue to shrink.These would widen the gap between central，western and eastern regions，and the citrus industry would show an obvious trend of moving towards western region.
