Zircon grains from the Au-bearing Paodaoling dacite porphyry(Sample PDL-2),Wushi granodiorite porphyry(Sample PDL-5),Wushi quartz-syenite(Sample PDL-7),and Huayuangong granite(Sample HYG01)are generally prismatic,colorless to light yellow,transparent and euhedral.Cathodoluminescence(CL)images clearly show igneous oscillatory zoning(Fig.12a–d),implying a magmatic origin.The results of zircon U-Pb dating are listed in Table 3.Analyses of 22 spots of sample PDL-2yielded ages of ca.146-138 Ma,with a weighted average age of 141.3±1.0 Ma,which is taken as the formation age of the Paodaoling porphyry(Duan Liuan et al.,2012).Three inherited zircons yielded 206Pb/238U ages of 1743Ma,800 and 734 Ma,respectively,which are common magmatic ages along the southern margin of the Yangtze Craton(Sun et al.,2002;Zheng,2003;Zheng et al.,2008;Zheng et al.,2004).Analyses of 21 spots of sample PDL-5yielded ages of ca.147–133 Ma with a weighted average age of 140.1±1.7 Ma,which represents the formation age of the Wushi granodiorite porphyry.Five inherited zircons yielded 206Pb/238U ages of ca.172 Ma,274 Ma,454 Ma,663 Ma and 1106 Ma,probably indicating the contamination of crustal materials during magma ascent through the crustal level.Analyses of 19 spots of sample HYG01 yielded ages of ca.131–119 Ma with a weighted average age of 124.5±1.4 Ma,representing the formation age of the Huayuangong granite.Analyses of 17 spots of sample PDL-7 yielded ages of ca.125–115 Ma with a weighted average age of 120.0±2.0 Ma,representing the formation age of the quartz-syenite dike.
