Twenty-five samples were used to measure and test,and the results are listed in Table 1.According to these Cathodoluminescence(CL)images(Fig.3),all of the zircons are euhedral or subhedral in shape with clear striped absorption and oscillatory zoning.And their Th/U ratios are between 0.74 and 1.74(≥0.4)(Belousova et al.,2002) ,indicating a magmatic origin for the zircons.The206Pb/238U ages of twelve analytical spots range from 120±5 Ma to 133±6 Ma(Supplementary Table 1),yielding a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 125.6±2.3 Ma(Fig.4),the for-mation time of the tuff is interpreted as 125.3±1.2 Ma.
