It could be seen from Table 2 that the fruit of all the five cucumber varieties was all of rod shape.The fruit of Meiyu Diguawang was of short rod shape,with an average length of11.55 cm,and the fruit of other varieties were of rod shape.The peel was mainly green.Meiyu Diguawang was light white green,and Texuan and Aweisi ground cucumber was light green.All the varieties had fruit thorns and tumors,which were both smaller.The fruit thorns and tumors of Texuan cucumber and Yantai ground cucumber were black,and those of other varieties were white.The taste and flavor of other five varieties were determined by tasting,and scored with a full score of 10.Five persons participated in the evaluation,and the results showed that Yantai ground cucumber and Aweisi ground cucumber had better flavor and taste,Texuan cucumber was good,while Meiyu Diguawang and Kailide ground cucumber were ordinary.
