Structural parameters oftheconescrewofthe OCCSHPSHP and parameters for tool design are show n in Tables 1 and 2 respectively.Using parameters in the tables，249discrete solution（αi，βi）of the contact line equation f（αi，βi）=0 are worked out with MATLAB，where the range ofα，[-π/2，63π/2]，is divided into 249 equally spaced points.Then 249 discrete points（X1i，Y1i，Z1i）on the contact line of tool coordinate system are obtained，corresponding to the above discrete solution.With all（X1i，Y1i，Z1i）substituted into formula（10），discrete points（R1i，Z1i）on theoretical curve of tool edge shape w ill be got.
