Various physical and chemical characteristics of SPAC and SPAC-NH2are given in Table 1.EDS analysis is a very important technique that can be used to confirm the successful modification of the SPAC surface.C,H,N,and Si analyses of the SPAC-NH2showed an increasing percentage of oxygen,silicon and nitrogen owing to the aminopropyl moiety present on the SPAC surface.Compared with the unmodified SPAC,SPAC-NH2yielded a smaller surface area and pore volume,which reflected the occupation of small pores of SPAC by APTES.
