Obviously,the initial level set function generated by the proposed initialization strategy shown in Eq.(18)is not a signed distance functionin a strict sense.In the evolution process,although the level set function may not be able to maintain an approximate signed distance function at all pixel positions,the task flow can ensure that the evolution function remains an approximate signed distance function near the zero level set under the regularization force generated by the second term of Eq.(17).Through a series of verification experiments,we find that the stability of the evolution process can be guaranteed as long as the aforementioned broad constraints are satisfied.
