In this class,sixteen compounds have been reported so far and most of the organic acid isolated from L.flos include caffeic acid skeleton.These included caffeic acid(1),chlorogenic acid(2),chlorogenic acid methyl ester(3),caffeic acid n-butyl ester(4)1-O-caffeoyl quinic acid(5),3-O-caffeoyl quinic acid butyl ester(6),4-O-caffeoyl quinic acid(7),5-O-caffeoyl quinic acid butyl ester(8),1,3-di-O-caffeyl quinic acid(9),3,4-di-O-caffeoyl quinic acid(10),4,5-di-O-caffeoyl quinic acid(11),3,4-di-O-caffeoylquinicacidmethylester(macranthoin F)(12) ,3,5-di-O-caffeoyl quinic methyl ester(macranthoin G)(13) ,4,5-di-O-caffeoyl quinic acid methyl ester(14),p-coumaric acid(15),trans-ferulic acid(16)(Table 1) .
