The spatial structure of log transformed SWC was calculated(Table 2).The azimuth angle of principal anisotropic axis was 109°–116°,which indicated that SWC had the largest spatial continuity in the northwest-southeast direction.The SWC showed a weak directional variation when the anisotropy ratio was less than 2.5(Trangmar et al.,1986;Liu et al.,2013).Thus,only the isotropic semivariogram of SWC was calculated in various soil depths.In our study,the experimental semivariograms were best fitted by exponential models with lowest residual sum of squares(0.0371–0.1470)and highest coefficient of determination(0.487–0.898)in various soil depths.
