The effect of the ratio of limonite adhering particle A on granulation of CSC was presented in Table 5.When no limonite adhering particles were added to the blends,the mean size of the granulated mixture was only 3.84 mm after granulation,which was significantly smaller than the mean size of quasi particles of the other mixtures.All the values of mean particle size,PI of bed,and the fractions of particles larger than 3 mm began to increase after the limonite adhering particles were added to blends,which indicates that the limonite adhering particles smaller than 0.25 mm helped to improve the CSC adhesion to the nuclei particles.The permeability of granulated mixture was the highest when the ratio of limonite adhering particles in ore blend reached10wt%,and because the ratio of nuclei particles decreases with a further increased ratio of limonite adhering particles,too many limonite adhering particles need more time to be granulated,leading to more limonite adhering particles being dispersed in mixture instead of being adhered onto nuclei particles,resulting in a lower permeability.Therefore,the ratio of 10wt%of limonite adhering particles in the mixture was recommended as the optimal ratio in which limonite adhering particles act as a binding medium and improve the granulation performance of CSC.
