The results show that on the basis of using the 6kW high power laser，the CEFR segment subassembly can be dismantled and the fuel pins of CEFR wrapped the UO2 pellets can be chopped.Taking into account of the radiation and the maintenance in hot cell，the laser cutting technology can be applied in dismantling the FR segment subassembly in engineering scale.
