Rice plants treated with HD228 fermentation broth showed no disease symptoms during growth.The rice seedling emergence was quite normal and the emergence rate was up to 100%，which means the application of HD228 had no effect on the seedling emergence of the rice.According to Table 1，20～40 mL of HD228 fermentation broth could boost seedling height；20～60 mL of HD228 fermentation broth could improve the fresh weight of seedlings.A dosage of80 mL brought no significant growth in seedling height；a dosage of 60～80 mL effectively enhanced the fresh weight of the root，while the root fresh weight at a dosage of 20 mL was much lower than that of the control.The root system absorbs nutrients from the soil to support the growth of the part above the ground，which is taken as an important indicator of biological increment.Optimal growth-promoting effects were achieved when HD228 fermentation liquid was applied to the soil at 40 mL/200 g（soil）.
