《Moisture Content and Nutrient Composition of Alfalfa under Different Drying Methods》
The whole fresh grass of perennial alfalfa(stubble5-10 cm)was collected in early flowering period from the alfalfa planting base of Horinger Grassland Research Institute on June 28,2016,and it was sunny on the sampling day.Three different drying methods were adopted in the test,including solar drying,outdoor drying in the sun,and outdoor drying in the shade.Sampling was conducted at each sample reduction of 10 g during the drying process,and samples were balanced for 15 min before recording initial moisture content and monitoring sample weight.Thereafter,samples were dried at 65℃to constant weight,crushed by pulverizer,and passed through 1 mm sieve;grass powder was sealed in brown jars,and the nutritional composition of different states of fresh samples was determined.Samples that had not been dried were used as control.Each treatment repeated three times,and the experimental design is presented in Tab.1.
